|Drug Name and Strength||Prednisolone 5mg|
|Indication||Inflammatory, rheumatic, arthritic conditions; alternate day therapy for allergic dermatitis; dirofilarial pneumonitis; kennel cough; inappetence of idiopathic origin in cats; lymphocytic plasmacytic enteritis, Quintox poisoning, granulomatous meningoencephalomyelitis. For use in dogs and cats.|
|Contraindications||Corneal ulcers, diabetes mellitus and renal insufficiency.|
|Warnings||In the presence of infection concurrent appropriate antibacterial treatment should be administered.|
|Dosage and Administration||0.5 to 2.5 mg/kg bodyweight daily or 1 to 2 tablets/10 kg bodyweight. Allergic dermatitis. 0.5 to 1 mg/kg twice daily for five to seven days then 2 mg/kg every other morning between 7 am and 10 am, then at weekly intervals reduce the dose by half to the lowest necessary to control the condition. Dirofilarial pneumonitis. 1 mg/kg on alternate days for up to three months. Lymphocytic plasmacytic enteritis, Quintox poisoning, granulomatous meningoencephalomyelitis. 1 to 2 mg/kg once or twice daily; each condition requires a different treatment regimen, consult literature.|
|Storage||Store below 30°C (room temperature). Protect from light. Replace lid after use.|
