|Drug Name and Strength||Procaine penicillin 150mg/ml, benzathine penicillin 115mg/ml|
|Indication||An aid in the treatment of local and systemic infections caused by bacteria sensitive to penicillin in horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and cats, when a prolongation of the therapeutic period from a single injection is required.|
|Contraindications||Administration to animals with known hypersensitivity to penicillin. Duplocillin should not be used when it is known that ß-lactamase producing bacteria are involved.|
|Precautions||Persons who are allergic to penicillins should avoid direct contact with the product.|
|Dosage and Administration||Shake well before use and use contents of the bottle within 28 days of initial broaching. Give by intramuscular injection only to large animals. Subcutaneous injection is advised in dogs and cats. Horses, cattle. 20 mL/500 kg bodyweight (1 mL/25 kg). Pigs, sheep. 2 mL/40 kg (1 mL/20 kg). Dogs, cats. 1 mL/10 kg bodyweight. Injections may be repeated at 72 hour intervals based on clinical judgment.|
