|Drug Name and Strength||Oxytetracycline 300mg/ml|
|Indication||Broad spectrum antibiotic injection for use in cattle, sheep and pigs.|
|Actions||Oxytetracycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic that inhibits protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria. Inside the cell it binds irreversibly to receptors on the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome where it interferes with the binding of the amino-acyl transfer RNA to the acceptor site on the messenger RNA ribosome complex. This effectively prevents the addition of the amino acids to the elongating peptide chain, inhibiting protein synthesis.|
|Precautions||Disposal Dispose of empty container by wrapping with paper and placing in garbage.|

Injections are to be given by deep intramuscular injection into the neck region for the treatment and control of conditions caused by organisms sensitive to the action of oxytetracycline.Volume at any one site should not exceed 10 mL.
